The training provided basic knowledge about Lean, with focus on chemical industry, and was tailored to Alufluor’s specific circumstances after consultation with the client and production manager. The training was carried out during a period of 3 months.
A total of 10 people undertook the training, including team leaders, supervisors and the company’s maintenance manager, CEO and CFO.
The participants were given an opportunity to apply their new knowledge in practice via group exercises, and an improvement project was also carried out over the duration of the training course. The improvement measures were documented and followed the A3 model and PDCA and were applied to actual problems and disruptions in the factory.
